Anders is graduating as a working Guide Dog for the Blind!
He will be going to the east coast for in home training, so there will be no graduation ceremony, but all of the raisers involved in raising this boy should be proud!
Anders was kind of a club project. Kate started him, then he went to Alina, then to Beth and Diane and, finally, to Morgan and Tricia. As I said, he was a club project.
This is just one example of how Mission: Pawsible raisers go above and beyond when it comes to working together as a team to accomplish a goal.
Congrats to Anders and congrats to all of his raisers as well!
Dogs at the meeting: Clarissa, Cortez, Liam, Locket, Carson, Turlock, Pluto, Mr. Morgan
This week, our group met at the Boise Towne Square Mall to do some walking! Our focus was on walking your dog with confidence (and style). Remember:
- You and your dog should be walking in a straight line.
- Keep your head up and your shoulders back and your arms relaxed.
- Strut your stuff! Walk with purpose and keep up your pace.
- Your dog should not be pulling; there should be slack in your leash.
If you were unable to be at this meeting, please make a point of taking a trip to the mall with your puppies in the next couple of weeks. These meetings always give us huge insight into how our puppies are really doing because there are stairs, elevators, heights, a food court and lots of people all in one place!!
Our Wednesday night meeting this week was held at the Parkcenter Mall. We got to see Locket, Carson, Morgan, Pluto and Tuscany.
Our focus was on recruiting and fundraising.
Use your club business cards! Hand them out regularly. Alina has more and you just have to ask for more from her if you run out. Alina will have more cards at next week's meeting.
We will have booths at both the Pet Expo (April 27th) and Alina's "Do As I Do" training workshop (March 30-31). We need manpower to staff the booths so please contact Tricia if you are able to be at one or both events!
We are working on creating our Fundraising Committee. If you have any interest in being a part of that, please send Tricia an email.
Thank you to all who have already volunteered time, goods and services for our upcoming fundraising events. Make sure to put your recruitment skills to use and tell all your friends!!
